Public Safety Dispatcher - Full Time

Description

This position requires working in a very fast-paced telecommunications center answering business and emergency calls and dispatching appropriate police, fire or other emergency response personnel in Waldo County.

Requirements

Applicants must be self-motivated, work well under pressure, and be team players. Ability to multi-task is imperative. Dedicated individuals who want to join a professional communications center should apply. Must have excellent computer and keyboarding skills. Applicants must pass background, criminal and motor vehicle records checks.

Minimum High School diploma and/or equivalent required.

Benefits

The starting rate of pay is $16.71 per hour. The County of Waldo offers Retirement 457 Deferred Compensation, MainePers and Group Insurance.

Patrol Deputy - Full Time

Description

This position requires a dynamic, qualified individual that possesses a strong community policing mindset to complement thier law enforcement experience.

Requirements

Applicants must be a high school graduate and possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Applicants must successfully have passed the Maine Criminal Justice Academy (MCJA) ALERT and physical agility test. Applicants will be required to successfully pass an in-depth background check, oral interview, psychological, medical and polygraph examinations.

Preference to MCJA certified officers will be given.

Residency requirement requires an employee to live within five drivable miles of the county line.
